Guide to the Infinity Bond Cyanoacrylate Super Glue Product Line
What is Cyanoacrylate Glue?
Cyanoacrylate glue is the industrial name for what is commonly known as “Crazy Glue” or “Super Glue”. In fact, the term cyanoacrylate glue generally describes quick-bonding super glues. They can be used to combine anything from metal to plastic and even human skin. Check out our Complete Overview of Cyanoacrylate Adhesives.
The Curing Process of Cyanoacrylates
Curing is an important process for all glue types and should be considered when choosing the right type of glue for specific applications. Broadly speaking, curing is defined as the process where a chemical reaction takes place to form harder and tougher linkages in a chemical substance. For some materials, this process will only occur at specific temperatures or humidity levels. For glues, curing can be facilitated by radiation, heat, moisture, or UV light.
As mentioned above, curing for cyanoacrylate glues is facilitated by the presence of moisture and occurs almost instantly at ambient temperatures. The bonds formed during curing are also extremely rigid, hence its nickname of “super (strong) glue”.
Using Name Brand Super Glues? You’re Probably Overpaying - Try Infinity Bond Instead!
Many top-of-the-line brands offer exceptional super glue products - but you are usually paying an arm and a leg for the big brand name. Try lowering your cost by using our Infinity Bond line of cyanoacrylate super glues that meets the exact same specs and performance standards as the brands such as Loctite™. Infinity Bond super glue products are made in the USA, and guaranteed to meet or exceed your brand-name equivalents.
Infinity Bond introduces its best value rubber and plastic cyanoacrylate super glue. This general-purpose cyanoacrylate offers strong bonds to a wide range of substrates at an economical cost. Use this RP series super glue for product assembly, general repairs, and O-ring bonding.
The Infinity Bond Surface insensitive cyanoacrylate super glue is enhanced for bonding acidic, dry, porous, or other difficult to bond surfaces. Our surface insensitive cyanoacrylate is a premium, general-purpose cyanoacrylate super glue that offers equal or superior performance to much more expensive name brand adhesives. Use the Infinity Bond Surface Insensitive Cyanoacrylate Super Glue for repairs, product assembly, manufacturing, woodworking, and much more.
The Rubber Toughened Cyanoacrylate Super Glue provides increased shock, peel, and shear strengths as well as improved temperature resistance. Rubber toughened means that rubber toughening agents have been added to the cyanoacrylate formulation to absorb the stress of impacts once the adhesive has been applied. This gives the adhesive a more ‘flexible’ bond and is perfect for product assembly applications that are going to be used in active environments.
The Medical Grade Cyanoacrylate MG series by Infinity Bond meets the biocompatibility standards for ISO 10992 and USP Class VI and is compatible with most sterilization methods. The Infinity Bond Medical Device Cyanoacrylate Super Glue bonds to plastics, metals, rubbers, and a wide range of other substrates giving a strong, permanent bond.
The Infinity Bond Low Odor and Low Bloom Cyanoacrylate Super Glue is aesthetically clean, with a slow cure. Use this product when blooming is unacceptable or in poorly ventilated areas. The Infinity Bond low odor formulas have a heavier molecular weight which virtually eliminates the odor and blooming associated with cyanoacrylates while also providing superior optical clarity.
While most cyanoacrylates are ethyl based formulas, the Infinity Bond Methyl line is more rigid than ethyl formulas. This quality makes it superior for metal bonding. Use the Infinity Bond Methyl cyanoacrylate super glue for metal bonding in product assembly applications or where more rigid bonds are required.
