Silicone sealants are a liquid form of adhesives often used to fill gaps and seal surfaces in order to prevent the passage of air, water, dust, or other unwanted substances. Silicone sealants are considered better than other sealants due to their durability, flexibility, non-toxicity, versatility, and ease of use. They can be used on a variety of substrates and are resistant to weathering, UV radiation, and temperature changes.
Take the following steps to remove silicone sealants:
Soften the sealant with a silicone sealant remover, a hairdryer, or a heat gun.
Scrape away the softened sealant using a scraper or putty knife.
Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol, vinegar, or soap and water to remove any residue.
