Structural Bonding for Demanding Marine Applications
Sika Sikaflex®-292 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive designed for structural bonding in demanding marine applications. Its non-sag, paste-like consistency provides good gap-filling properties for a wide variety of bonding applications. Ideal for boat manufacturing, marine construction and boat repair, Sikaflex®-292 bonds to aluminum, painted metals, ceramics, GRP and ABS while providing the mechanical strength needed for joints exposed to high dynamic stresses. The moisture-curing formula can also be painted.

Applications for Sika Sikaflex®-292
Sikaflex®-292 is designed for structural bonding in marine construction, particularly for joints exposed to high dynamic stresses. Common bonding materials include:
- Aluminum, including anodized aluminum
- Metal primers and paint coatings (2-component systems)
- Ceramic materials
- GRP (fiberglass-reinforced plastic)
- ABS and other suitable plastics
Sika recommends testing the adhesive with the actual substrates and application conditions before use, particularly with materials that may be prone to stress cracking.
