Overview of Plexus MA550 Adhesive

Plexus MA550 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastic, metal, and composite assemblies. Combined at a 10:1 ratio, MA550 has a working time of 40 to 50 minutes and achieves approximately 75 percent of its ultimate strength in 70 to 75 minutes at 74˚F (23˚C). Plexus MA550 is the standard for secondary bonding applications in the marine industry because it requires virtually no surface preparation. In addition this product provides a unique combination of excellent fatigue endurance, outstanding impact resistance and superior toughness. This adhesive is bright white and UV stable. Plexus MA550 is supplied in ready-to-use 490 ml cartridges, 5 gallon (20 liter) pails or 50 gallon (200 liter) drums to be dispensed as a non-sagging gel.
