What is a low temperature glue stick?

A low temperature glue stick simply has a lower melting temperature. This means instead of becoming liquid at 380 Degrees like standard hot melt, it usually hits liquid form around 250 Degrees. 

When should you use a low temperature glue gun?

A low temperature glue gun is necessary when you are using a low temp glue stick. Some brands carry all-temperature glue sticks that work in both low temp and standard hot glue guns. 

What materials work best with a low temperature glue gun and glue stick?

Foam, fabric, thin films/plastics and other temperature sensitive substrates are excellent candidates for low temperature hot melt. The reduced heat greatly reduces the chance of damaging these type of products.
